Veronica Smulders has over 18 years of working experience in marketing and communications having held leadership roles in the South America, Europe and Middle East. She gained her experience in different sectors including retail and fashion, logistics, banking and non-governmental organizations holding senior managerial roles and leading multicultural teams.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Veronica counts in her trajectory the strong positioning of brands such as Converse, G-Star Raw, Ipanema and locally grown footwear concept, Pairs. Moreover, she was responsible for the successful introduction of the Michelle Belau franchise in the Middle East, the opening of the first department of communications of Danzas-DHL in Dubai and the establishment of the first Business Development role of AIESEC in Latin America.
As a former fashion editor and head of content of international renowned titles such as Condé Nast Traveller, Hello! Middle East, Shortlist and Stylist, Veronica knows well what is needed when it comes to high quality content.
She is an avid global traveller and has particular expertise in luxury family travel in the UAE and South America. As a content creator and producer for destination's promotion, Veronica has worked with a number of tourism organisations and hotels including Hyatt, Belmond and Jumeirah.
As an expert in the field, she often contributes to radio, TV and industry conferences such as Arabian Travel Market.
